Set in the heart of the south Mallorcan countryside just outside the quiet village of Calonge, (which has two great restaurants ), yet only two km from the beaches and nightlife of Cala d'Or, and six minutes from the golf course.

CALA D’OR
This is one of the largest towns on the East Coast. The development has brought all the facilities and water sports that you could ask for and there is also a pretty marina, harbouring some very prestigious yachts and some excellent seafood restaurants. The sandy coves are also very good here but do get a little crowded in the height of summer

Cala Mondrago

Cala Mondrago is in fact two beautiful interlinked coves not far from Santanyi. The beach is situated amongst a national park and on the far side beach has picnic areas and a children’s adventure playground, while the near beach is a lot quieter. Beautiful clear water and a sandy beach attract the occasional yacht, mooring in the natural harbour for the day. You will have to park in the nature reserve car park and walk to the beach.

Facilities

Entering through the main doors into the lobby, there are two large lounges nicely furnished with settees, pictures and tapestries, televisions, and both have chimney fireplaces. The lounges have double doors opening out onto the patio and gardens, as does the double bedroom situated on this level. This spacious bedroom (the garden room) overlooks the lawns, and is nearest the pool. There is a small twin-bedded room which is situated between the two lounges. The fully fitted kitchen has a cooker, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and ample kitchenware and crockery to cater for every occasion. The kitchen has a large dining table with seating for eight. Immediately outside is the grapevine-covered patio dining table with seating for a further twelve people. Adjacent to the kitchen, the laundry room is complete with washer, dryer, large drinks refrigerator and deep freeze. A winding staircase leads up to the first floor. The master bedroom is large and comfortable with a king sized bed and bathroom en-suite. Double doors open onto an outside private patio with spectacular views of the beautiful gardens, surrounding fields and the sea in the distance. The other two bedrooms are on this floor, one with twin beds, plenty of cupboards and another private patio overlooking the swimming pool and gardens. All bedrooms have their own bathrooms. The property also has central heating and air conditioning. The villa has electric gates, a photo-electric security system, underground electricity supply, safe mains water with a reserve water tank cistern, satellite T.V.(Sky analogue - bring your card), VCR, a stereo C.D. and cassette system piped to all the rooms on the ground floor, telephone and facsimile.
The guest house for max. 2 persons has a separate bedroom with bath/shower room and a large combined living/dining area with open plan kitchen + it's own terrace.

Exterior

In the grounds you will discover almond and lemon groves, tomato vines, and around the house a luxuriant formal country garden of lawns, plants and roses. Grapes hang heavy (in season) over the patio dining table, providing shade for alfresco lunches. The barbecue is set among sage, thyme and rose bushes adjacent to the patio and garden loungers. A garden swing hangs from the bough of a large pepper tree. Old farm carts and carriages are dotted around the place, and giant olive oil pots and cartwheels add to the ambiance. An old well lies redundant in the garden - the house now has a mains water supply! The 11m x 6m swimming pool is not overlooked, and has exercise equipment for that early morning workout. Darts and table tennis will help keep the kids amused.

All prices exclude the "Ecotasa" (eco tax), which will apply from 1 July 2016. This is 2,20 € (2,00 € + 10% VAT) per person from 16 years per night.
